Tsukiko Yahisa is the first female student to enroll at Seigetsu Academy, a former all-boys school specializing in astronomy. She is closely watched over by her childhood friends, Kanata Nanami and Suzuya Tohzuki, who often protect her from the male student body. (Taken from Wikipedia)
In various seasons each game concentrates on Tsukiko’s different social groups namely her Childhood Friends(Spring), Archery Club (Summer), Teachers (Autumn), and Student Council (Winter)
Gameplay is pretty simple, you follow on with the story, then when a question/choice pops up you choose the name of the guy you are aiming for (for like a hundredth time). ヘ(￣ー￣ヘ) The period of the game depends on the season you are in each having 3 months each (e.g spring starts from March and end in May). Quick saving is pretty much advisable and there are also some dates in which you will need to save to save the time of going into the good, best and normal ending. If you want to go to the indecisive route, you need to alternately choose the main choices for each of the guys.
What’s unique to this series is when getting the other ends (which each character has 4 + seasonal ends) you get their monologue instead so you have to go through all their monologues. YES, I appreciate the fact that I would know how they feel and their thoughts but to go through their monologues which consists mostly emo-shit, I’m done with this game. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻…and because of their heavy monologues (whether its the first run or last run) I always fall asleep or just played it on auto and went on with my life. Like my partner said, its only a question & choice type of game without a single mini game.
….umm…its very…shoujo type like? Backgrounds and character designs were really colorful and brings out the school-life-feels. My only rage about the series is that when the guy goes dere with the MC, some of it lacks CG and the other CGs were like a waste of space. щ(゜ロ゜щ) Specially that Kiss CGs wherein HoneyBee, i think, expects players to kiss their monitors or something.. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
It was a waste of good looking guys. Note that there are no kiss CGs, instead you get a KISSY FACE. UGH. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ WASTE, I say, WASTE. The only one with a decent kiss scene was my beloved Kotarou-sensei. I will say it again. A WASTE (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡︵ ( \o°o)!!
Jessi’s POV:Sound was good…i guess. They manage to fit the sound just right with each scene of the game. My favorite openingwould be the Summer series though, it have such a catchy song fun theme.ヘ(￣ー￣ヘ
The opening song and the ending song is alright. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ but during the monologues the song starts to lull you to sleep. It might be appropriate but someone who doesn’t know how to read kanji/hiragana/katakana but understands them through hearing them, I do not appreciate the soft music.
Same basic high school romance, it would be a fun, sweet and fluffy kind of feel if not for those emo-fagging scenes ヽ(￣д￣;)ノ in which HoneyBee thinks is the main ingredient of the story–which should not be. Its suppose to bea highschool romance for pete’s sake, i don’t think its suppose to be THAT emo. щ(゜ロ゜щ)
Emo-fagging mixed with heavy based monologues for every reruns of the route, that includes more kissy scenes that makes me want to throw my beloved psp away… like I said, (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡︵ ( \o°o)!! A WASTE FOR POTENTIAL. There are 4 .5 characters out of 12 characters that brought life into heavy emo-crap. Yes, there is a .5 into my count since that character becomes funny when the situation calls for it. 4.5 out of 12! MAN, that alot of emo shit going on there. This art is a trap, I’m starting to wonder why it became so popular!OH LOOK. Teachers are supporting you with your love! Isn’t that supposed to be wrong in Japanese culture or something like that!? (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡︵ ( \o°o)!! THERE IS NO PLOT THERE. NOPE. NONE. CAPISH.
This game was in a reaaallly downhill for me if not for the characters (*￣m￣). If not for them and thier attitudes i will not sit through this whole series listening to some emo-monologue and whatnot. I think i fell asleep (¬д¬。) in most of the spring series and one in the autumn series while the characters are forced to go emo-monologue. (눈_눈)
I for one is not going to argue with you Jessi. (눈_눈) You think you fell asleep? I FELL ASLEEP. period. Dreaming about a quiz that Naoshi-sensei gave to me and woke up with my psp battery down to a single blinking bar left. The horrors of rerunning it just to try and get other endings just killed me with their endless monologue. I don’t know about the others but Starry☆Sky just lost a lot of potential starting with the kissy face.
Personally, we don’t recommend this series, unless you guys truly want to know the characters. Just prepare a pillow by your side just in case…. ｍ（＿ ＿；；ｍ
